MSU

Ari and Alexandra's birthday party was at State while we tailgated! This was our first trip to Starkville in quite a while.  We were excited to take the girls!  Sam was chilled most of the time!

Chase with our girls--Zeb pushing Sam
Our girls love Chase! I'm not sure he knows what to do with all that lovin' since he just has boys!

Sara Beth got her face painted...

While Leigh got both hands painted...

and Sam still was chillin'  (I love this position)

This makes me laugh!  I have no idea who this boy is, but it looks like he has it out for Sara Beth!

"Daddy, you want me to do what?"

I had a great time catching up with friends!  Too bad it was really too hot to visit!

Honey and G with 7 out of 8

still chillin'
he was like this all but about 2 minutes of the entire day

We also got to see Corie and Brett!  It has been forever since we have seen them! I wasn't even pregnant with Leigh the last time we did!  Here is Sara Beth, Corie, and their oldest Reed!

The girls had to have on head phones so they didn't have to listen to this...

He still doesn't like the car!  He didn't do this the entire trip--it just seemed like it!  He was super happy to get home and get out of the heat!

Cleaning pavers?

Holly and Frank brought their girls to Jackson for a quick weekend (just Friday and Saturday) so we could celebrate Ari's 5th birthday and Alexandra's 2nd!  Friday we went to the Henson's for dinner.  To entertain them while dinner was cooking Sandi gave them squirt bottles filled with water and paintbrushes.  They had fun cleaning the pavers outside.  Personally, I think she has the wrong idea...if she let them do this inside she could have her floors scrubbed on hands and knees!  I might just try it!

We see deer in their neighborhood every time we are go--sorry for the bad pic--I didn't want to scare them away!  This was the mom and I didn't get a picture of the 2 very new and wobbly baby deer!

Last Wednesday

Last Wednesday, Leigh climbed in the car after school while clutching her bookbag.  As soon as she got buckled, she told me she made a picture with hair.  She dug through her mostly empty bookbag and then burst into tears when she couldn't find it.  She just sobbed.  I told her it was probably wet and she would bring it home on Friday--that did little to comfort her!  But, I was right...and here it is...proudly displayed on our refrigerator!

Leigh quote

As you know, Sam only really cries in the car.  He's getting much better, but at times it is uncontrollable.  Today we were headed to pick up Sara Beth when one of those uncontrollable times came.  His little voice was quivering.

Leigh very calmly looked at me and said, "momma, sham sounds like a horsie!"

O Day and Fun with Friends

Friday was orange day at school.  Unfortunately, we had a crazy morning and I didn't have a chance to get my camera out.  But, she has on a really cute orange dress that Honey made that ties on both shoulders.

The Shurdens were in town this weekend and Kourtney Anderson was sweet enough to get everyone together at the park!  It was lots of fun, but very hot!

Circus Time

Saturday, we went to the circus, not that we really needed to go to see one because our house is very similar!

We got there early for the pre-show and the girls got to try on some shiny costumes.

They both enjoyed walking on the tightrope.

We had great seats in section B5 (for future reference)!

Leigh says her favorite part were the clowns!

Not wanting to slow done for a pic

excited

scared of the loud music

mesmerized by the acrobats (her favorite)

both worn out since they nap daily at 1:00

Close your eyes, Honey...

*that is dirt on leigh's bottom--ha!

Pretty much every afternoon the girls go outside after naps for some alone playtime.  They love it!  They have started getting very adventurous!  Zeb and I love to stand at our windows and watch!  I have thought many times about stopping some of their tricks, but every single one of them are things that Zeb and I did as a child.  We decided its part of being a child and to let them play!  I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
