2014 Fair

Obviously this was weeks ago...but, better late than never, right?  After Doe's birthday party a few weeks ago we hit up the MS State Fair.  I LOVE that my grandparent's tradition of taking us has been passed down to my parents taking their grands!  We were there for a long time, however there was so much that we didn't even have time for!  However, the kids did ride lots of rides!  This was extra special because it was Anna Corinne's first time to go!  The smile on her face says it all!

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIC FROM THE DAY---top of the ferris wheel!

#1 for 2 weeks at least!

I have to get this post on the blog while MS State is still #1!  We were able to make it to the Texas A&M game this year!  Thanks Chase and Laura for letting us tailgate with y'all.

Having fun with cousins

Everyone loved the game!  SB followed it closely and now understands the game of football!

As you can see, we were really high up.  This meant it was chilly and super windy!  Sam almost lost his hat, so he spent some of the game holding down the hats!  Sweet Daddy is so patient!

I wish I noticed how bad this picture was when I took it--it looks more like a mug shot than 2 cute boys!  Sam and Carson were so excited to see each other!

The best of friends!

The Chi-O house has been completely redone and is huge now!  They had an open house and it was so fun to walk down memory lane with my two girlies and a great friend!!  I haven't been in the house since I graduated and it made me feel 20 years old again!

And this is what the car ride home looked like!  A WIN plus 3 tired kiddos who didn't whine all day=success!

92

A few weeks ago, this sweet woman turned 92!  We had a family lunch/birthday party at Lou's Full Serv. Elizabeth and Clark came from Georgia, and both Zeb and Brad took off of work so everyone was able to be there! She is in better health now than she was when she was 90!  We are very thankful!  My crew loves going to visit with her.  They think she has the best snacks!

Can always count on Uncle Brad to entertain!

Wells Fest

Our crew had a fun time at Well's Fest this year.

This cotton candy is bigger than Leigh!

We went right at snack time so we decided to let them each pick out one treat.  Leigh got cotton candy, Sara Beth a snow cone, and Sam an ice cream sandwich.  While they were snacking this precious little girl starts asking her mom for something and instead of just saying "no" her mom went in to this long explanation to this 3 year old about how it was all just sugar and sugar isn't good for you.  It made me laugh so hard.  She obviously was "talking" to me!  She was so loud and angled towards me.  It was all I could do to bite my tongue and not say something.  Yes, I do let me kids have sugar every now and them.  It hasn't killed them yet!

On a side note, Wells Fest was fun and cheap!  The kids played lots of games and each snack was $1.  Everyone had an afternoon of fun and it was just $13.

Johnny Appleseed Week

Johnny Appleseed week is a big deal when you are in the first grade at FPDS.  Moms take turns sending apple snacks each day. They also read apple books and do some fun artwork.  Friday is the best part---apple bobbing!

I love the looks on these sweet boys as they are cheering Leigh on to get her apple.

It's hard to grab an apple when you have a big gap in the front of your mouth!

Two new friends

This girl loves a swing.
