To the North Pole and Rosemary Beach

On the Friday before Thanksgiving we headed to the beach with a surprise visit to the North Pole.  It was such a fun surprise.  They watched the movie The Polar Express and literally finished it in the parking lot of the railroad station.  We passed their pajamas back to them and asked if they wanted to head to the North Pole.  After much confusion, there was much excitement!

This elf was really mad that their pajamas didn't have any elves on them!

The next morning, we headed to the beach through some beautiful back country of Alabama.  We stopped in Luverne.  It has the most amazing downtown area and is obviously  still a great downtown because of Pepsi--this was one of many signs!

We got to Seaside and headed straight for the food trucks.  After lunch we noticed that we had a major parenting fail--our kids didn't know what fudge was!  That was soon rectified!

Zeb's entire family met at the beach for the whole week!  It was a great time! The weather was absolutely gorgeous this year.  The kids spent a lot of time at the beach and in the heated pool!

I wish I had counted the number of hours spent looking at lego magazines and the number of games of Uno.

5 posts rolled into 1

The 2nd graders celebrated the 50th day of school!  They dressed from the 50s and went to Brent's for milkshakes!

Leigh and Charlotte

All smiles before school--Ben comes to our house and plays from 7-8:30 each morning.  They are so sweet and have a lot of fun.

Zeb was checking out Sam's excema and Austin thought she might have some as well.

Leigh worked hard on her mini me!

I am sure there were a million reasons for us not to let them do this, but since they were playing outside and being creative I didn't worry about the reasons why they shouldn't!

Who wouldn't want to pay 25 cents for a glass of water--again, creative---but we live on a cul-de-sac!

While I was in Atlanta for a children's conference, Zeb took the kids to State for the day.  I really hate I missed it since we never got another chance to go, but they had a great time!

Sam even ran into his buddy Carson!
