5 posts rolled into 1

The 2nd graders celebrated the 50th day of school!  They dressed from the 50s and went to Brent's for milkshakes!

Leigh and Charlotte

All smiles before school--Ben comes to our house and plays from 7-8:30 each morning.  They are so sweet and have a lot of fun.

Zeb was checking out Sam's excema and Austin thought she might have some as well.

Leigh worked hard on her mini me!

Even a policeman needs a nap.

Anne Frank

I am sure there were a million reasons for us not to let them do this, but since they were playing outside and being creative I didn't worry about the reasons why they shouldn't!

Who wouldn't want to pay 25 cents for a glass of water--again, creative---but we live on a cul-de-sac!

Rebecca and I did the Ovarian Spin Cycle

Sara Beth's first meet

The level 1 team

FPDS Swim Meet

While I was in Atlanta for a children's conference, Zeb took the kids to State for the day.  I really hate I missed it since we never got another chance to go, but they had a great time!

Sam even ran into his buddy Carson!

Halloween Weekend

Last weekend was Halloween weekend and due to large amounts of rain everything got moved around.  We ended up trick or treating on the 30th.  It actually made for a great and relaxing weekend!

Thursday after school we went to Nannoh's to show her their costumes.  I love this picture of Sam.  He literally had his mouth open listening to her tell of how she shot a possum through a hole because it was after her chicken and eggs, as well as a few other stories of her good aim.

Friday, Sam had his party at school.  I was lazy crafty--meaning super easy crafts.  He didn't care if I spent an hour on them or 5--he was happy to bring fun food to school.

I love this Star Wars picture that the director of the preschool texted me!

A waitress, Han Solo, and Princess Leia

and a pig that wasn't too sure she was into being a pig...

we trick or treated with the Jordans, as usual.

Uncle Brad always dresses up, but this year G and I decided we would both be pumpkins.

It rained most of Saturday which made for a great movie watching and book reading kind of day.  We decided to just carve one pumpkin this year.

Later in the afternoon it stopped raining so these two did some puddle jumping.

We ended our lazy day with pumpkin spice pancakes.

Back to School--4,2,PreK

Yes...I know that school started 11 weeks ago...

We did manage to have our Back to School night dinner--an even on the 1st night of school!

We got pictures of the 1st day without breaking an arm this year! So, we called that a success!

SB was very excited to have Mrs. Burt.  Zeb had Mrs. Burt as a second grader, so she thinks that is super cool!  We are hoping that Honey runs across a picture of Mrs. Burt and Zeb in 2nd grade.

Leigh has Mrs. Tidwell this year.

Since the first day of school is a 1/2 day, we squeezed  in a tea party at Friends. (everything was a little off this year because my grandmother died right before school started...)

This big guy turned 5 in July so he is doing kindergarten at Covenant and then will do kindergarten at FPDS next year.  We are calling it PreK this year--and he loves it!

His sweet teacher is Mrs. Brown.
