Fun Times with Cousins

Yesterday we went to the park with Ariana and Alexandra.  It was an absolutely beautiful day and the girls had a blast!

Today we made our first of many trips to the MCM--lots of fun--way TOOOOO crowded!  It was very hard to keep up with everyone, but we had fun!

School Christmas Program

Trinity held their four and five year old Christmas program on Friday!  It was so very sweet to hear this group singing about Jesus (plus a few fun songs!!) Mrs. Connie works so hard with them and it pays off!  Sara Beth loves going to music on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Ballet Observation

Sara Beth decided she wanted to take dance this year.  She takes a combo ballet/jazz class.  Parents aren't allowed to watch on a weekly basis, but last week they held a parent observation so we could see where our money was going! I will upload some video later...

My Great Aunts...

My grandmother is seated on the left (Doe) and these are two of her sisters.  Mimi is standing and Dot is in the lavender.  They are hilarious together!

Kay (on the left) is one of my many 2nd cousins.  She is one of Ima (their other sisters) children.

And this is Ginger--Dot's daughter.

Mimi (the young one as she always manages to say) forgot her earring--she borrowed mine!

Friday night at the Ag Museum

Friday night we went to the Christmas Fest at the Ag Museum.  I must say it was a little disappointing--no train, no carasoul, no village, no santa, no live nativity--all of which they have had in the past.  The kids didn't care at all though!  They had so much fun running around, looking at the trains and the animals and seeing friends!

G and Sam

We saw Laurie Barbour!

Looking at the animals...

I give up...

and we saw Hayes and Caroline!

My Mom took the girls to see the princesses ice skate on Saturday!  They had a blast!  She really wore them out--they came home and took great naps!

Church program

Last Wednesday was the 1st Pres church program!  Sara Beth and her 4 year old friends sang "Away in the Manger"!  Sweet memories!

PJS with Santa

This is Mrs. Kristi Philips (aka Leigh's teacher) with her grandfather (Santa) and her 18 month old Luke!  I can't decide whether Luke was trying to figure out who this Santa was or if he is scared to death of him!

Sam always along for the ride!

Leigh hesitated for maybe 2 seconds before jumping in his lap and announcing she wanted toys--she's doesn't help much when it comes to her list!

the kiddos while we were gone

both of our moms were out of town this past weekend, so we got andrew and gray ouzts to come stay with our three while we were in memphis!  the girls had a blast.  they took them to the madison christmas parade, read books, colored, made gingerbread houses, looked at christmas lights, and sooo much more! it was so nice not to worry about them!  gray took a few pics for me!

i took sam to the doctor only moments before we left town and found out he had ear infection #3!  so, i know he was more of a handful than normal!

this is what i hear happened at the parade--sara beth's favorite part were the dancers and leigh's favorite part were the horses!  the motorcycles scared sam! and they got to see santa and mrs. claus!

thank you gray and andrew!  they had a blast!  we really appreciate it!

Memphis Marathon

In March, when it was obvious my pregnancy was going downhill and I would spend most of the rest of the it on bedrest I told Zeb that I wanted to do a half-marathon when it was over.  When Sam was less than 2 weeks old Zeb called and wanted to know if I wanted to do the Memphis one on Dec. 4th! Ha! That was sooner than I expected, but I said sure!  We roped some more newbies in with us--Sara ran the full marathon with Zeb and Molly and I walked the half!  It was so much fun!  The weather was perfect----cloudy, 40's, and  a little windy!  Zeb and I are trying to decide what our next one will be!
Wiley came too and we wouldn't know what we would have done without him!  He took our long sleeve shirts when we were getting hot about mile 4 and kept us entertained as he would pop up every now and then along the race!

Here is Sara finishing!

Sadly, I didn't get a picture of Zeb finishing!  They were planning on running together the whole time, but Sara's hip was hurting very badly and she told Zeb to run ahead!  Next time I am buying Zeb a neon orange shirt to race in so I can keep up with him!

Since I missed Zeb, I sat only feet away from the finish line for over an hour.  I watched MANY people fall and a few funny things too!  Here is a bank robber and cop coming across the finish line!  They had the whole place laughing!

Here we are--done--with our medals--and very tired looking!
