Frozen

The freezing day outside yesterday was the perfect setting for the girls Frozen birthday party!  Charlotte Meadows did a fantastic art party!  This was the first birthday party that we've ever had somewhere!  And let me just say it won't be our last!  I bid and won on this party at a silent auction!  Both girls had a great time!

Charlotte had a sample picture painted.  I love how creative the all of the girls got.

Batman was the lone boy at the party!  He's showing off his new cape that he got.  It was the perfect distraction for him.  He was so well behaved and not at all interested in painting.

It meant so much to the girls that Mr. Brad was able to make it!  He even got his hands dirty and helped a few girls!

There was 25 six and eight year olds at the party and each one was so well behaved!  I couldn't get over how sweet, polite, and thoughtful each little girl was!  I am very thankful for Sara Beth and Leigh's friends.

We have two precious friends who are 3 and 4 years old that are battling cancer right now-- Andrew Cross and Campbell Dale.  The girls decided that they would like their friends to bring art supplies to take to Batson in honor of Andrew and Campbell!  Look how many their friends brought!!!  The girls are so excited about taking them to the hospital next week!

Hanging with cousins

Last week, we had some fun hanging out with cousins!  Sadly, we were only able to play once because I was headed out of town.  They sure made the most of the couple of hours they had!

8

Yesterday we had a lot of fun celebrating our biggest girl's birthday! I'm not sure if it is harder to believe that she is eight, or that I am old enough to have an eight year old!  Either way---she's 8 and I'm not believing it!  She started off her morning with dough-nuts and candles!

She knew I was coming to school, but Zeb surprised her by being the Mystery Reader!

After school, we went by my grandmothers and had another celebration!  This time it was for Leigh too!  Her birthday is right around the corner!

For dinner she requested meat (any kind), mac and cheese, and roasted broccoli!  She's easy to please!  Everyone enjoyed a yummy steak dinner!  After dinner, she opened her presents.

And had dessert for the 4th time!

Sara Beth, You are the so very kind!  Daddy and I are both so proud of you!  You love Jesus with your whole heart, soul, strength, and mind.  And that shows in how you live your life.  We pray that you always stay near to Him.  Here are some of the things you like right now:  soccer, friends, gymnastics, playing outside, reading, American girl stuff.  You like most any food--but definitely prefer things not to be mixed.  You would be fine if you never ate another casserole in your life!  We are loving watching you grow up!  You sure are fun! We love you!

TOTS

Last Wednesday, I asked Leigh what her best part of the day had been.  Without hesitating she said, "My best part about today is that my TOTS performance is tomorrow."  That pretty much sums up the excitement she had leading up to it!  I also, think you can tell that from the pictures!  We were, of course, very proud of her.  I could tell that she worked hard and payed attention because she knew the routine!

Selfies with my Sam

Well, this one isn't a selfie, but the rest are!  Today, Sam and I had a lunch date.  I must say, he's a pretty fun date.  I got to answer questions like: does God fly, what's your "baborite" (favorite) part of your day, and what happens to Superman when he takes his helmet off! And I got to ask many questions too!  I was reminded that I needed to stay on top of my theology and I needed to learn about my super heroes!

Speaking of superheroes...last week Sam and I flew all around our neighborhood!  It's amazing how hard imaginary play can be--the rules keep changing!

After the girls left for school this morning, Sam and I had a little bit of fun with my phone!
