Everybody needs an...
An Air Bolt! It provides hours of fun! It even comes with three rockets, so we have no fighting over rockets! Sam wants to do this all the time. To tell us he comes running in and jumps and then points high in the sky!

Last week Sam spent the night at Honey and G's. That meant that after Zeb and Sara Beth left it was just Leigh and me! I asked her on a date for breakfast and she picked Cracker "Barrells". She loved every second, but not near as much as I did! I prayed for her as I was saying the blessing. A few minutes later she said, "Mommy, that was a good prayer". I know I have said it a thousand times, but our life would be boring without this blessing! She keeps us on our toes for sure, but also keeps us laughing!

old, old, old
Sara Beth and her classmates celebrated 100 days in 1st grade by dressing up like they were 100! This is the cutest 100 year old I know!

Well, the unpacking is done and the pictures are hung--mostly. We are definitely feeling like this is home and love the proximity to school and church. I have had several friends ask me to post after pictures. I will do the upstairs and kitchen now, but am waiting on some sofas to come in and some chairs to be recovered to do the downstairs.
Leigh's room--her paint is called Almost Pink
I had a little panic because I was planning on putting these beds with these bedspreads in Sara Beth's room. However, once I got them in I didn't like it because of the shelves in her room. I was afraid that putting it in Leigh's room would just be too much pink--but then afterall, is there such thing as too much pink! She really likes it. At some point I will paint the beds to match, but honestly, it might be several years! It is definitely not a high priority for me. (One of these bedspreads was on SB's bed in the old house and Pottery Barn still carries it so it was easy to get a matching one.)
This is the girls bathroom. I have hung the owl picture and their cute little owl towels that my sister, Elizabeth, did.
Sam loves his big boy room! We decided that moving would be a good time to transition him to a big boy bed. He has done great! His paint color is called Sea Gull Gray. I LOVE it! I was worried that it would be too dark and it isn't at all!
I don't think the light is on when I took this picture.
This is Sara Beth's room. She has done such a good job keeping all of her shelves neat! Her color is called Seawind. I love it too! It is so fun and girly. I went ahead and did a bigger girl bedspread for her bed so that I wouldn't be re-doing her room in the next few years. She thinks she is so grown up!
SNOW DAY
I must say I was a skeptic. I doubted we would have snow! I think we ended up with about 4 inches. As quickly as it came, it went! For the most part, it is already gone!
This was taken at 7 am. It snowed for about an hour and a half after this.

Zeb got to play for a few minutes before heading to work--unfortunately, people still need doctors on snow days!
This makes me laugh so hard. He was miserable--but he sure wasn't going to be left out of making a snow angel!
The house across the street is for sale--so we messed up their pretty snow!
Our snowgirl
Kate came over about 8:30 and played--isn't she the most stylish girl ever!
Now, I'm ready for some sun! I'm not sure if I've seen it all year. It is funny to me that 5 days ago we were riding bikes in shorts in between all the rain showers! Not today!

We've Got the Blues
When I was on bedrest two and a half years ago and eighty plus pounds more than I should be, I told Zeb if I ever got up (it seemed like it would last forever) that I wanted to walk a half marathon. He took me seriously because while Sam was still in NICU he called from work one day and said he had picked us out a race--just five months away. I did the St. Jude half and he ran the whole. Since then, I have done 6 halfs and he just finished his third full! Neither one of us have ever done the Blues Marathon and I must say that the organizers do an awesome job! It was so fun--and hard--oh, my! the hills!!
Pre-race
Finishing! My sister, Sara, has walked most of the halfs with me! She's a great walking partner. We were pleased with our time today! We get tickled at peoples comments because we aren't speed walkers--we just say we walk fast! There is a difference in technique. Runners get irritated when we pass them! It's funny to hear what they have to say when walkers pass! The Jackson hills did me in today. I am already sore!
I am so proud of Zeb! He wakes up really early to run so that it doesn't interfere with work or family time! He did a PR today. (That is shocking to me because of yes, again, the hills!) Wahoo! He was booking it--that is an 8:30 or so average per mile! Rob Oates ran with him today and that made it even more fun for him! I'm so proud of him!
